Preview of the 2024 Padel World Championships in Qatar

The Padel World Championships will be held in Doha, Qatar, from October 28th to November 2nd, 2024.

The venue is the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex. All tournament matches will be played on outdoor courts.

The Padel World Championships have been played since 1992. In men and women, the world championship has always been won by Argentina or Spain.

World Championships:

(1998, 2000, 2010, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2021, 2022)

In Paraguay 2018, the men's final between Argentina and Spain was not played because the players were dissatisfied with the conditions and schedule.

Tournament format for the 2024 World Championships:
In men and women, there are 16 countries, divided into four groups of four countries. The teams in the group play a series of matches (including 3 matches) against the other countries in the group. The two countries with the most points in their group advance to play series of matches for positions 1-8 (quarter-finals, semi-finals, and final), and the two countries with the least points in their group play for positions 9-16. All positions will be played for in the tournament.

Men's group stages:

Group A: Argentina, Belgium, USA, Italy
Group B: Spain, United Arab Emirates, Paraguay, Mexico
Group C: Chile, France, Uruguay, Qatar
Group D: Portugal, Brazil, Sweden, Netherlands

Women's group stages:

Group A: Spain, Germany, Chile, Brazil
Group B: Argentina, Portugal, Egypt, USA
Group C: Italy, Sweden, Japan, Uruguay
Group D: France, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany

In the World Championship tournament, countries name 8 players for the men's and women's teams, from which countries select 6 players (3 pairs) for each series of matches. Matches are played with advantage at 40-40.

Prize money:
Total 590,000 euros (men's and women's winners 45,000 € / team)
